Located in Ibagué, Colombia, this project explores a contemporary approach to cabin design through a strong connection with local identity and materiality. Developed in collaboration with the team at Estudio Chavarro, the design draws inspiration from regional craftsmanship, particularly the traditional black ceramics of La Chamba.

Material Concept
The material selection is driven by a desire to create a direct and honest connection with the natural environment. The palette emerges from the textures, tones, and tactile qualities found in the region, embracing materials that feel grounded, warm, and inherently authentic.
Inspired by local craftsmanship—such as the deep, earthy character of the black ceramics from La Chamba—the project prioritizes elements that carry a sense of origin and cultural continuity. Natural fibers, raw finishes, and muted tones are combined to evoke a quiet and balanced atmosphere.
